Being a fan of the Cincinnati Bengals won’t have an impact on the medical marijuana front.
So says the denial of a petition to the Ohio medical board committee this week.
An Ohio football fan had recently submitted a petition to the State Medical Board of Ohio that being a Browns or Bengals fan could qualify as a medical marijuana condition.
The context behind the struggles of the Ohio franchises doesn’t really need an explanation at this point. Neither does the denial, reported by ESPN’s Ben Baby.
This petition was shot down alongside others that didn’t have enough support. Past years have seen 100ish petitions submitted, with 30 or so thrown out there this time before the formal process weeded out this one and others.
