It’s a critical AFC game for the Cincinnati Bengals as they play host to the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 13 at Paul Brown Stadium.
And after going into last weekend’s tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers as favorites, the Bengals are once again favorites in the minds of oddsmakers before Sunday’s showdown.
Over at Tipico Sportsbook, the Bengals are 3.5-point favorites in the contest.
A week ago, the Bengals followed up on being the favorites by blowing the Steelers out of the water in 41-10 fashion. They’ll hope to do the same thing over the weekend, which would secure a three-game winning streak, an 8-4 record and knock the Chargers down in the AFC playoff seeding race.
But the line is pretty small despite the fact the Chargers have lost four of their last six and have to make a huge trip because of elite quarterback Justin Herbert.
Luckily for the Bengals, they roster Joe Burrow, the guy drafted before Hebert, which makes Sunday a showdown that probably should have been flexed to primetime.
With the way the Bengals have been playing, they do feel like a pretty safe bet given the surrounding context.
