The Cincinnati Bengals added to the wide receiver position twice in the draft ahead of training camp.
But that doesn’t mean a valuable piece behind the big three such as Stanley Morgan will find himself pushed off the roster. Here’s a quick profile on Morgan ahead of the season starting.
Experience: 5 years (UDFA, 2019)
Age: 26
College: Nebraska
2021 PFF Grade: 66.4
Numbers to Know: 853 special teams snaps over 48 pro games
Resume and Outlook: Morgan was a hit with Bengals fans out of college because he broke receiving records at Nebraska, but his fate was always special teams. He broke his way onto the roster that way over multiple seasons and has been a staple ever since. He’s got a serious advantage over rookies trying to make the final 53, though a rookie’s ability to return kicks could play a part. Still, it’s hard to see him losing a spot this summer given his value.
