The Cincinnati Bengals didn’t make big splashes on the offensive line in front of Joe Burrow heading into 2020.
Naturally, the 2021 NFL draft could be a target for upgrades.
In a new 2021 mock draft from Draft Wire’s Luke Easterling, the Bengals pick fifth (based on Super Bowl odds) and select Stanford offensive tackle Walker Little.
Interestingly, picking fifth means the Bengals missed out on Oregon tackle Penei Sewell and Burrow’s LSU teammate Ja’Marr Chase.
Not that Little is a bad consolation prize. He looked like one of the top tackles in the 2020 class before going down with a season-ending injury early in the season and deciding to return to school.
An All-Pac-12 first-team pick at left tackle, Little would make for quite the interesting tackle partner opposite Jonah Williams.
Should the offensive line play better in 2020 and it isn’t a massive need in the 2021 draft, another mock had the Bengals taking LSU wideout Ja’Marr Chase. And our way-too-early mock featuring all seven rounds had the Bengals taking Miami edge rusher Gregory Rousseau.
