The Cincinnati Bengals rolled over $10.79 million in cap space toward the 2021 cap allotment.
ESPN’s Field Yates confirmed the number Wednesday while providing the outlook for every team in the league.
It’s a fun chart to look at to get an idea of which teams are doing what. The Bengals are one of 10 teams to roll over at least $10 million to next season.
That’s a typical amount for the Bengals and given a $175 million projected cap for next year, they will have about $35 million in free space and safely rank among the top 10 teams in projected cap.
That’s before some obvious cuts like Geno Atkins (9.6 million in savings), Bobby Hart ($5.9 million) and B.J. Finney ($3.5 million), if not others.
While the bulk of Cincinnati’s cap space could go to retaining free agents Carl Lawson and William Jackson, there are also hints the Bengals could spend big money in free agency to acquire a big-name offensive lineman.
