The Philadelphia 76ers are getting set to take on the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday to continue their 4-game homestand and they will do so as Ben Simmons continues to work his way back to the team.
After a tumultuous offseason of receiving a lot of criticism for his poor playoff performance combined with trade rumors and then an official trade request which led to a holdout, the Sixers still want Simmons with the team. The 25-year old is working his way back to being reintegrated with the group as he spoke with the team and cleared the air a bit before going off to seek help for himself mentally.
As the Sixers convened for shootaround on Friday, Simmons was seen working out on the bike after practice to continue working out. This is a good thing for him as he continues to work his way back and make sure that he is healthy both physically and mentally to get back playing basketball again.

While Simmons still remains out for Saturday’s matchup due to his personal reasons, it is good to see him back with the team again. A lot has happened over the past three months or so and it is big for him to be able to at least workout and be with the team.
