The Philadelphia 76ers got some much-needed reinforcements on Sunday when they welcomed in Glenn Robinson III and Alec Burks after a trade on Thursday morning. Both players are expected to provide a spark to this team in the shooting and bench scoring department that is sorely needed on this team.
While Burks did not play on Sunday, Robinson III did and he played well scoring 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting in 12 minutes of action in a win. His play caught the eye of his teammates as they were impressed with how he quickly fit in.
“He’s a hard worker defensively and offensively,” said Ben Simmons. “He’s very explosive, a great slasher, I know he’s got a good midrange too so I love his game so far.”

Tobias Harris, who has morphed into one of the leaders on this team, will now finally have somebody reliable behind him who can come in and provide some good minutes. He was happy with what Robinson being able to make reads and cut to the basket despite it being the first time he’s played with the team.
“His energy, you can see where he’s been in a system where they play off each other,” he said. “A lot of his cuts were second nature for him where he was able to find the basketball. He’s a dynamic player, a great skill set to our team, he’s able to shoot the ball, and create off the bounce too. I think he’s going to be a great part of our team going forward.”
The Sixers will feature both Robinson III and Burks more in the rotation on Tuesday when the team hosts the Los Angeles Clippers. [lawrence-related id=25496,25477,25445]
