The Philadelphia 76ers are in the middle of what they’re hoping will be a deep playoff run inside the bubble in Orlando. However, it appears those chances will take a huge hit as they will be without their All-Star forward for a little while.
Ben Simmons–who suffered a subluxation in his left knee–was already out indefinitely with the injury as the team considered treatment options, but now the 24-year old will undergo surgery to remove a loose body in the knee. He will leave the bubble to have the surgery.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, there is no timetable for his return at the moment and he has not been ruled out for the season, but it is not a good look for fans hoping he can return for the playoffs which begin on August 17.
Simmons will leave the NBA's Bubble for the procedure, and a timetable on a return is forthcoming. https://t.co/Vn7PsL3hZr

Until then, the Sixers will have to turn to Joel Embiid, Al Horford, and Tobias Harris much more at this time. [lawrence-related id=36501,36489,36470]
