After missing two Philadelphia 76ers games and the All-Star game due to coronavirus protocol, Ben Simmons will be back on the court on Sunday.
In an Instagram Live conversation with former teammate Josh Richardson, Simmons said he would suit up against the San Antonio Spurs.
“I’ll be out there, bro,” Simmons said in the IG Live video.
The Sixers (26-12) dominated the games on Thursday and Friday without Simmons, first beating the Chicago Bulls by 22 points and then the Washington Wizards by 26.
Starting in Simmons’ stead was Matisse Thybulle, who was ultra-efficient in the starts. Thybulle made nine of the 11 shots he took over the two games, including all three 3-pointers he attempted. He scored 21 total points over those two games.

Simmons, who is averaging 16.1 points, 7.9 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game this season, returns to the starting lineup against the 19-15 Spurs at the perfect time. Star center Joel Embiid suffered a bone bruise on his left knee in the game on Friday and is expected to miss two to three weeks.
San Antonio will be missing both DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge.
Tipoff is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at Wells Fargo Center. Watch on NBC Sports Philadelphia.
