Ben Simmons diagnosed with subluxation of left patella, out vs. Magic

Philadelphia 76ers forward Ben Simmons will be out for a while after a knee injury.

The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of still coming together as a group and continuing to push forward towards an NBA championship. However, they cannot do so if they are missing one of their All-Star leaders.

Ben Simmons left Wednesday’s win over the Washington Wizards with a left knee injury and after initial signs were good with no pain, he has now been diagnosed with what is called a subluxation of the left knee and he is considering treatment options. This would leave him out of Friday’s contest with the Orlando Magic and by the sounds of it, he could be out for a little while after that.

The Sixers face the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday inside the bubble in Orlando and they will need other guys to step up in his absence. This is nothing new for Philadelphia as they have dealt with major injuries to contributors before, but it is unfortunate after just having him return from a serious back injury over the break just to have this happen now.
