One of the game’s best pound-for-pound scorers turned another year older on Sunday. Philadelphia 76ers legendary guard Allen Iverson celebrated his 45th birthday and the beloved franchise icon got some love from a key member of the organization.
All-Star point guard Ben Simmons gave Iverson some love in his Instagram story with a picture of the two of them and a nice message honoring him. Iverson has been a big part of the franchise even after retirement. He is a constant at Wells Fargo Center and he has always shown support for the team’s younger players and giving them advice.

Iverson then made his own birthday post in celebration of his 45th year on his Instagram account. It was a nice photoshop job to change his iconic number 3 to number 45 for his new age.
Iverson is one of the best players in the history of the game and is one of the top five players in Sixers history. He accomplished a lot on the basketball court and he continues to give back to the organization in helping the young guys. [lawrence-related id=32738,32731,32721]
