John Harbaugh gave his brother two coaches, Mike Macdonald and Matt Weiss, this offseason. And Jim Harbaugh is giving his brother his favorite player, it seems.

Michigan football’s Harbaugh made no secret his favorite player on the team has been Wolverines fullback Ben Mason, the Connecticut native whose feats of strength have been well known. At the next level, despite some dalliance on the defensive line, Mason is expected to be a fullback, a tight end or a hybrid player in the offensive backfield.

The Baltimore Ravens selected Mason in the fifth round of the 2021 NFL draft with the 184th pick. He was the sixth Wolverine off the board.

Mason had 37 carries for 87 yards with 9 TDs as well as 3 catches for 32 yards and another TD.

He is the second Wolverine to join the Baltimore Ravens in as many years. John Harbaugh selected Ben Bredeson in the third round in 2020.
