Bellator signs ONE Championship, LFA alum Dante Schiro to multifight deal

Bellator has added a new welterweight to its roster.

Ten fights into his professional career, [autotag]Dante Schiro[/autotag] has already competed for a handful of promotions – and he recently added another one to his list when he signed a multifight deal with Bellator.

No event, date, or opponent is set for Schiro’s promotional debut at this time, but officials recently informed MMA Junkie of his signing.

Schiro (8-2 MMA, 0-0 BMMA) enters Bellator after stops in LFA and ONE Championship, as well as fights under a few regional promotions’ banners.

Out of eight professional victories, six have come via stoppage with three knockouts and three submissions. While he went 2-0 in LFA, Schiro suffered one of his two career losses in his lone ONE Championship appearance when he dropped a split decision to Agilan Thani.

The 27-year-old fighter currently rides a two-fight winning streak. In his most recent outing, Schiro defeated UFC alumnus Kenny Robertson via second-round stoppage due to ground-and-pound at Caged Aggression 30 in March.

Schiro becomes the third member of Chosen Few Gym to sign with Bellator, joining teammates light heavyweight Alex Polizzi and welterweight Mark Lemminger. The MacFarland, Wisc., gym also produced former UFC fighter Cole Williams and Dana White’s Contender Series alumnus Alex Gilpin, who most recently competed in PFL.
