Kansas City Chiefs DE Felix Anudike-Uzomah’s agency shared a unique behind-the-scenes video, providing insight into his journey to the 2023 NFL draft.
CAA Football’s “The Journey” takes us back to Anudike-Uzomah’s high school days at Lee’s Summit, where he was an undersized defensive line prospect. Anudike-Uzomah reveals information about his highest D1 offer, his intentions to commit to Mizzou and how he ended up at Kansas State. In the long run, he feels like he made the right decision to join the Wildcats.
With 24 hours to go until the 2023 NFL draft, he revealed that he didn’t know where he was going to be drafted. He said that there were 15 teams that showed interest and talked to him multiple times — noting that the Chiefs were one of those teams.
Anudike-Uzomah, of course, grew up a fan of the team. He said he’s been to games at Arrowhead Stadium on five different occasions. The video concludes with the rookie edge rusher taking a trip to the stadium, meeting members of the staff, and touring the team facilities with his family members.
