Beatles fans noticed a Now and Then Easter egg in the song that brings everything full circle

Did you notice this subtle Beatles Easter Egg in their new song?

Did you notice something about Now and Then, the Beatles’ final song ever, that seemed familiar to you? And maybe that was done on purpose?

Let me explain: The single, which dropped on Thursday, starts with Paul McCartney counting off: “One … two … ” for four beats before the band comes in. Plenty of songs in rock feature someone counting in.

But back in 1963, on the Beatles’ first album Please Please Me, the very first song on the album is I Saw Her Standing There. And how does it start? With McCartney shouting “One two three FOUR!”

So if you listen to the Beatles’ catalogue from beginning to end, it all comes full circle. That can’t be a coincidence, right?

I wasn’t the only one who noticed.
