There’s nothing like NFL Network’s Top 100 Players of 2020 list to cause controversy, especially because everyone is going to have an opinion about how high or low their favorite players should or shouldn’t have been.

While Chicago Bears receiver Allen Robinson was well-deserving of placing on the Top 100 Players of 2020 list, it’s his ranking that has Bears fans up in arms. Robinson landed at No. 93 on the list while Seattle Seahawks receiver D.K. Metcalf debuted at No. 81 following a solid rookie season.

Sure, Metcalf deserved to make the list, but when you compare his season to Robinson’s, it’s ridiculous that Robinson was 12 spots lower than Metcalf.

Then there was the fact that Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen landed ahead of Robinson at No. 87, which just makes absolutely no sense.

Robinson recorded his second-career 1,000-yard season, where he tallied a career-best 98 receptions for 1,147 yards and seven touchdowns, which is impressive in itself. But when you factor in the questionable quarterback play and operating in one of the NFL’s worst offenses from a season ago, Robinson’s achievements are nothing short of remarkable.

Just imagine what Robinson could accomplish with adequate quarterback play. He’s a playmaker through-and-through, even if the Top 100 Players of 2020 list doesn’t do him justice.
