The Chicago Bears have started their search for a new head coach and general manager after firing Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace on Monday.
So far, they’ve cast a wide net of candidates both on the head coach and GM side, which includes a diverse group of guys who they’ve requested to interview for two attractive openings.
The Bears will conduct what appears to be their first interview with former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson on Wednesday, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport. Pederson recently interviewed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Pederson hails from the Andy Reid coaching tree, much like the departed Nagy and another potential candidate in Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy. But Pederson found success in Philadelphia, including getting some solid years out of Carson Wentz.
The Bears have requested interviews with former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores, Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich and defensive coordinator Todd Bowles, Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll and Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn, among others.
