The 2022 NFL Scouting Combine is about to get underway, where draft prospects will be looking to make a strong impression on prospective teams ahead of the NFL draft.
Before the action gets underway, things will kick off with general manager and head coach interviews.
New Bears GM Ryan Poles and head coach Matt Eberflus will both meet with the media on Tuesday. Poles is scheduled to be at the podium at 11 a.m. CT, while Eberflus will speak at 1 p.m. CT.
This will mark the first time that Poles and Eberflus will meet with the media since their introductory press conference. Only now, they’ve been in their current roles for over a month.
There will likely be questions directed at them about pending free agents, roster holes and potential offseason moves. While Poles and Eberflus are new on the job, don’t expect them to give things away at this point.
The Bears have just five draft selections this year after trading up to acquire quarterback Justin Fields in the first round last year. But they’re slated to have around $25 million in salary cap space, which is the 12th most in the NFL. And that’s before any potential offseason transactions to clear more.
