Bears quarterback Justin Fields has turned a corner in the passing game over the last couple of weeks, which has fans feeling encouraged about his future in Chicago.
Following a career day against the Broncos, Fields put together another impressive outing in prime time against the Commanders, where his connection with receiver DJ Moore flourished.
Fields completed 15-of-29 passes for 282 yards with four touchdowns and no interceptions with a 125.3 passer rating. Fields found Moore for three of those scores.
In the last two weeks, Fields has completed 67 percent of his passes for 617 yards with eight touchdowns and one interception. He’s tied for the second-most touchdown passes (11) among quarterbacks through the first five games.
So is it really a surprise that Fields has been nominated for FedEx Air Player of the Week for the second consecutive week following another impressive outing through the air against Washington. Also nominated: Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow and 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy.
