The awards keep coming for Chicago Bears quarterback Justin Fields. The NFL announced Fields as the winner of this week’s FedEx Ground Player of the Week award.
The second-year quarterback was one of the top rushers last weekend in the Bears’ 31-30 loss against the Detroit Lions and fans voted him as the league’s top rusher for Week 10.

Fields carried the ball 13 times for 147 yards and two scores against the Lions. 67 of those yards came on one run when he torched the Lions defense for his second touchdown of the day. The performance came on the heels of his record-setting day the week prior against the Miami Dolphins, where he rushed for 178 yards and a touchdown.
This was Fields’ second nomination in as many weeks. He took down New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley and Indianapolis Colts running back Jonathan Taylor in the fan vote.
Through 10 games, Fields has 749 rushing yards on the season, good for sixth best in the NFL. He’s on pace to eclipse 1,000 yards rushing and has a chance to break the single-season rushing record by a quarterback, set by Lamar Jackson in 2019 with 1,206. He’ll look to continue his hot streak this weekend when the Bears travel south to face the Atlanta Falcons.
