The Chicago Bears have the No. 1 pick in the 2023 NFL draft, which gives general manager Ryan Poles a great opportunity to rebuild this roster. Especially when it comes to loading up on draft capital.
Chicago has already been approached by multiple teams about trading for the No. 1 pick, and the Bears are “leaning toward” moving back, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
That was the expectation since the conclusion of the 2022 season, especially considering quarterback Justin Fields’ emergence in Year 2. With eight to 12 teams potentially in the market for a new quarterback, Chicago should have no shortage of suitors for that top selection with guys like Alabama’s Bryce Young and Ohio State’s C.J. Stroud on the board.
The ideal scenario would be for the Bears to trade back for additional picks and still land a top defensive prospect in Georgia’s Jalen Carter or Alabama’s Will Anderson.
With the Bears looking to deal the No. 1 pick in the NFL draft, here are some potential trade partners.
