Bears open as 3.5-point home underdogs vs. 49ers in Week 8

The Bears have opened as home underdogs against the 49ers, per Tipico.

The Chicago Bears will host the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, where Chicago will be looking to avoid a three-game losing streak. The good news is they’re battling a San Francisco team that’s lost four straight.

Still, the Bears have opened as 3.5-point home underdogs against the 49ers, according to Tipico Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 39.5 points.

It’s a bit of a surprise that San Francisco have opened as favorites considering they’ve lost four straight games and Chicago is at home. But the Bears have embarrassed themselves in back-to-back weeks, and it’s clear not many have confidence in them to bounce back — even against the 49ers.

Chicago has been underdogs five other times this season against the Rams, Browns, Raiders, Packers and Bucs. The Bears have been favorites in Week 2 against the Bengals and Week 4 against the Lions this season, both wins.

Can the Bears get back on track with a win over the 49ers? Or will San Francisco send Chicago to three straight losses? We’ll see when the Bears and 49ers kick things off Sunday at Noon CT on FOX.
