Bears’ Jaquan Brisker took a kick to the groin from Mac Jones, then picked him off with one hand

Some perfect payback for Brisker.

Jaquan Brisker’s been one of the brighter rookies in the NFL this season. The young safety has acted as a stabilizing force for a promising Chicago secondary. He seems to be so rock-solid and balanced all around, in fact, that Brisker can persevere despite accidental “injuries.”

As Brisker’s Bears took on the Patriots (-8.5) Monday, he was involved in a key play with Mac Jones. When the New England signal caller took off on a scramble, Brisker was there waiting to tackle him. Naturally, Jones slid, and, you know, had his foot up right where Brisker was standing and waiting.

Uh, yeah — ouch.

After Brisker’s unfortunate kick to the groin/”injury,” he’d come off the field for a bit. And when he returned, the Bears’ safety immediately got revenge for Jones’ unfortunate wrongdoing.

In style.

Oh yeah. I obviously can’t read his mind, but if Brisker’s making one-handed picks after taking an unfortunate kick, that young man’s still thinking about that play with Jones. Also, frankly — he’s just really, really good.
