The Chicago Bears have brought in a familiar face to serve on their defensive coaching staff this season. Someone that knows plenty about their biggest rivals.
The Bears are hiring former Green Bay Packers defensive coordinator Mike Pettine as their new senior defensive assistant.

Pettine, whose contract wasn’t renewed with the Packers, served as Green Bay’s defensive coordinator for three years, and he’s had a lot of experience going against the Bears offense and knows a thing or two about the Packers.
Now, Chicago is hoping he can be of some assistance to new defensive coordinator Sean Desai, who will serve as a defensive coordinator for the first time in his young coaching career.
The Bears also announced two new hirings. Mike Snyder has been promoted from offensive quality control coach to offensive quality control/assistant quarterbacks coach and Henry Burris has been promoted from Bill Walsh Coaching Fellow to offensive quality control coach.
