The Chicago Bears are in the middle of their search for a new general manager and head coach, where there’s a long list of candidates they’ve interviewed or are scheduled to interview.
Los Angeles Chargers GM Tom Telesco told reporters that Director of Player Personnel JoJo Wooden has interviewed for the Bears’ GM vacancy. Chicago previously put a request in to interview Wooden.
Wooden joined the Chargers back in 2013, where he oversees the pro and college scouting departments, and he appears poised to take the next step as a general manager. Before joining the Chargers, he spent 16 seasons with the New York Jets from 1997-2012, where he spent six years as their Assistant Director of Player Personnel. Wooden interviewed for the Washington Football Team GM opening last offseason.

The Bears have now interviewed 10 candidates for their GM job with five left, including Omar Khan, Rick Smith and Morocco Brown, who’s set to interview Monday.
