The Chicago Bears are gearing up for the start of the 2021 NFL season against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday Night Football.

Despite concerns on the offensive line and at cornerback, there’s excitement for this season with rookie quarterback Justin Fields, who should see the field as a starter sooner rather than later.

Chicago has opened as 7.5-point road underdogs against Los Angeles, according to Tipico Sportsbook.

Last season, the Bears were underdogs in 13 of 16 games, where they were favored only in contests against the New York Giants, Detroit Lions and Jacksonville Jaguars.

It’s not really a huge surprise to find the Bears as underdogs in this contest given there are plenty of concerns on offense, starting with quarterback Andy Dalton, who will get the nod over Fields.

This season marks the fourth straight year that the Bears and Rams will play each other, with all four of those games in prime time. While Chicago won back in 2018 in an impressive defensive showing, Los Angeles has won the previous two meetings. The home team has won in each of those three contests, which isn’t reassuring for the Bears.

Can Chicago defeat Los Angeles for the first time in four years? Or will the Rams once again beat the Bears? We’ll see when the Bears and Rams kick things off Sunday at 7:20 p.m. CT on NBC.
