Basketball Recruiting: Colorado’s top player for the 2023 class projected to land at Arkansas

Rivals says that Arkansas is the favorite to land the nation’s No. 3 center for the 2023 recruiting cycle.

Arkansas Men’s Basketball is projected to land one of the nation’s best “big men” for the class of 2023.

Travis Graf of Rivals has projected [autotag]Baye Fall[/autotag], the nation’s No. 3 center, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Colorado, will commit to Arkansas.

Fall currently has 22 offers from top programs across the country, which includes five SEC programs. While Arkansas has received one expert projection, there are at least three schools that head coach Eric Musselman will have to compete with in order to land Fall’s commitment.

Kansas State appears to be behind Arkansas according to Rivals, with Texas and Auburn both neck-and-neck according to On3’s Recruiting Prediction Machine.

On3’s scouting report on Fall says that defense is his strong suit:

Baye Fall plays with a great motor, and that leads to ample production. He has good size with great length and is very fluid in his movements. Fall has touch that extends out to the three-point line, but his offensive game is still very raw. Fall plays best as the roll man or in the dunker spots. He is a good offensive rebounder, a put-back dunk threat of missed shots. Fall will need to continue adding strength. He does not have much with his back to the basket, and his pick and pop or trail jump shot feels a bit mechanical. Fall moves his feet well laterally and plays with vertical explosion. He is a good shot blocker and is instinctive in the passing lanes.

Fall told Rivals in December that he likes the style of play that Arkansas uses.

“There is a lot of freedom they give their bigs. They play fast there, too. Fast and free.”
