The contract terms for new Houston Texas wide receiver Steven Sims Jr. are out. According to NFL reporter Aaron Wilson, former Steelers receiver Sims signed a one-year contract with the Texans with a max value of $1,7 million.
This feels like a bargain for the Texans to get a guy who can not only be a serviceable No. 3 wide receiver but also an excellent kickoff and punt returner.
Judging by Houston only giving Sims one year and for less than $2 million in total value, it seem like the Steelers knew from the beginning they had no plans to bring him back under any circumstances.
The move also cements the fact that Pittsburgh has plenty of confidence in Calvin Austin III coming back from a foot injury that cost him all of his rookie season.
