Barack Obama’s 2021 March Madness men’s bracket goes with four No. 1s in Final Four

He’s going pretty darn safe this year.

Former President Barack Obama wasn’t particularly bold with his 2021 March Madness brackets.

In the men’s tournament, Obama picked all four No. 1 seeds to make the Final Four, with the national championship game projected to match Gonzaga with Illinois. He likes Gonzaga to win the tournament.

In the women’s tournament, the 44th president had two No. 1 seeds (Stanford, NC State) with two No. 2 seeds (Baylor, Maryland) in the Final Four. He thought Baylor would beat Stanford in the national championship game.

Obama has picked the men’s national champion twice since 2009, in both instances picking UNC to win. His last bracket, in 2019, was a tough one — the final four featured none of Obama’s picks. (Been there. Definitely, been there.)

Here’s a look at this year’s bracket.

It’s not exactly bold — but you can’t blame him for making safe picks in what is likely to be yet another wild March Madness tournament.
