Last season finished with a tie atop the home run leaderboard. Kansas City Royals C Salvador Perez and Toronto Blue Jays 1B Vladimir Guerrero Jr. both finished the season with 48 long balls. American League MVP Los Angeles Angels DH Shohei Ohtani clocked in with 46, while San Diego Padres SS Fernando Tatis Jr. led the National League with 42.
