Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reports to minicamp

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson reported to the team’s minicamp after skipping OTAs.

Baltimore Ravens fans can breathe a little easier this Monday morning. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is headed to the team’s minicamp.

Kevin Oestreicher, who covers the Ravens for USA Today’s Sports Media Group, posted on social media this morning a video from Marlon Humphrey, alongside the Ravens quarterback:

Jackson did not attend the team’s OTAs earlier this off-season, for the first time in his young career. He is nearing the end of his rookie contract, and is looking for a long-term extension from Baltimore. Jackson is set to earn a $23 million salary this season, the final year of his rookie deal, and has been seeking a long-term deal with the Ravens.

The organization has indicated on many occasions that they want Jackson in Baltimore for the long-term, and Jackson’s decision to report to minicamp will have many believing that such an extension will be solidified between player and team.
