Ravens at Eagles game notes

  • The Ravens are 3-1-1 ATS this season, while the Eagles are an unimpressive 1-4. Dating back to last season, Baltimore is 12-3-1 ATS in its last 16 games.
  • Baltimore is ninth in points per game scored (29.8) and third in rushing yards per game (160.8), but it ranks just 31st in passing yards per game (178.8) through five games.
  • No team has allowed fewer points this season than the Ravens, who also rank fifth in rushing yards allowed. Philadelphia is 23rd in scoring defense.
  • The total has gone Over in three of the Eagles’ five games this season, but only one game for the Ravens has seen the Over come in.
  • All of the Ravens’ wins have been by at least 14 points, scoring at least 27 in each one.

Ravens at Eagles: Odds, betting lines, picks and prediction

Prediction

Ravens 27, Eagles 17

Money line (?)

Though all four of the Ravens’ wins have come by at least two touchdowns, there have been some reasons for concern in recent weeks with the offense slumping a bit – specifically QB Lamar Jackson, but this is a vulnerable Eagles team that has underperformed all year and the Ravens should be able to capitalize.

Baltimore will win this one outright, and even though the reward may not be worth the risk on this money line, I’m going with the RAVENS (-371) in Week 6.

Against the spread (?)

The Ravens are favored by more than a touchdown and they’ve been very good covering spreads this season. As previously mentioned, when they win, they win big – especially against bad teams.

They’ll win this game by double-digits on the road, getting the offense back on track. Look for Jackson to have a big game running the ball, keeping Philadelphia off-balance defensively. Take the RAVENS -7.5 (-110).

Over/Under (?)

The Over/Under is 47.5, which is surprisingly on the lower side considering the caliber of talent Baltimore has on offense. It’s likely the result of Philadelphia lacking explosiveness on offense.

I’m taking the OVER 47.5 (-110) in this Week 6 matchup with the Eagles scoring enough points to put the total over 47.5 in garbage time.
