Projected first-round picks LaMelo Ball and R.J. Hampton are among the prospects slated to participate in the 2020 NBA Draft Combine, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The league announced on Wednesday that the NBA Draft Combine will be conducted both in team markets and virtually, taking place in phases beginning Sept. 28 and continuing through November to allow teams the opportunity to evaluate prospects during the COVID-19 pandemic.

While Ball and Hampton are set to take part in the event, notable players like Anthony Edwards, James Wiseman and Obi Toppin will not be participating. Players in the past have often skipped the NBA Draft Combine if they feel as though they have nothing left to showcase.

The combine will give players the opportunity to participate in league and team interviews, both conducted virtually from Sept. 28 through Oct. 16. Players will also take part in individual strength and agility testing, anthropometric measurements, shooting drills and a “Pro Day” video.

The physical testing will be conducted in October at the NBA team facility nearest to a player’s home or interim residence. Medical testing and examinations will be performed by NBA-affiliated physicians in the same market.
