Tom Seipel was a devoted Cleveland Browns fan who made it a wish to catch one last game to see his favorite team while he was in hospice fighting kidney cancer. Baker Mayfield helped make that wish a reality when he had Seipel attend the Browns’ playoff game against the Steelers in his personal suite.
Tragically, Seipel died this week of complications from his kidney cancer.
Seipel had been staying with family in Georgia, so led by the Dawgs of War podcast, Browns fans raised $10,000 to get him to Cleveland. Then Mayfield took it from there — going so far as to give Seipel a personal ride to the stadium to see the game.
Oh Wow, Could I Become More Of Baker Fan Then I Already Am? Yes, I Do Believe I Can…This Is “Our Freaking Franchise QB” Giving Tom A Ride From The Game He Went To!!!🥺 #BakerMania #RIPTom #SEIPELSTRONG #Browns

After the news broke that Seipel had passed, Mayfield sent out condolences on social media, saying “Your pure heart will never be forgotten.”
Rest In Peace Tom. Your pure heart will never be forgotten. https://t.co/VEUeo77NXu
