The wave of COVID-19 positive tests continues to crash over the Cleveland Browns. Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield is the latest and biggest name to test positive.
Mayfield tested positive for the coronavirus on Wednesday’s round of testing, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Several local Cleveland sources quickly confirmed the testing.
Mayfield joins an ever-growing list of Browns who have tested positive this week, a list that also includes head coach Kevin Stefanski. Wide receiver Jarvis Landry, left tackle Jedrick Wills and right guard Wyatt Teller were among the COVID-19 victims announced on Tuesday.
The Browns are still on schedule to host the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday afternoon at FirstEnergy Stadium. Veteran Case Keenum will get the start in place of Mayfield if No. 6 is unable to play.
