Baker Mayfield’s time on the Cleveland Browns’ reserve/COVID-19 list has officially come to an end. The Browns activated the starting quarterback from the list on Wednesday morning.
Mayfield is now cleared to rejoin the team for practices and in-person team meetings. He will jump right back into the starting lineup.
The team placed Mayfield on the reserve list on Sunday after it was determined No. 6 was a close contact to a Browns staff member who tested positive for COVID-19. Mayfield passed the required number of negative tests after self-quarantining to prevent any possible spread or infection. He was allowed to remotely attend meetings and strategy sessions while in quarantine.
