The LSU women’s basketball team just got [autotag]Angel Reese[/autotag] back, but Kateri Poole remains away from the team according to head coach [autotag]Kim Mulkey[/autotag].
The junior guard and transfer from Ohio State has served as a backup on this year’s squad but she has played 50 minutes off of the bench in four games. She has scored a total of eight points and she is 2-for-4 shooting from the field.
The Lady Tigers have a big matchup coming up tonight against the No. 9 Virginia Tech Hokies. In a battle of top 10 teams, depth is something that could play a huge role in who wins or loses the game. The Tigers are currently 7-1 this season with their only loss coming to Colorado in Las Vegas.
LSU is playing Virginia Tech as part of the SEC/ACC challenge. The Tigers will play five games after Thursday night’s game before they start conference play in January.
Kateri Poole is not with the team right now says @LSUwbkb @KimMulkey. Mulkey won’t elaborate how long Poole will be out. #LSU
