Angelo Ferrari, the top-ranked wrestling recruit in the nation, is coming off a weekend visit to the Rutgers wrestling program.
In late December, Ferrari announced a top five that included Rutgers. He is the top-ranked recruit in the nation according to FloWrestling.
Originally from New Jersey, Ferrari is now wrestling at Melissa High School (Melissa, TX).
On Monday, Ferrari posted on his Instagram account a photo gallery from his visit to the Rutgers wrestling program. He tagged the photos ‘Back to Jersey.’

It has been a big offseason for Rutgers wrestling. Last week, Sebastian Rivera won a bronze medal in the Pan-American Championships in Argentina.
The program has also been very active in the transfer portal, landing two significant incoming talents.

Jacob Butler, a transfer from Oklahoma, qualified for the NCAA Tournament last year and is coming off an impressive win in the US Open. He committed to Rutgers in late April.
In early April, Rutgers landed Harvard transfer Yaraslau Slavikouski. The graduate transfer went 30-6 last season.
