The Los Angeles Lakers are reportedly exploring their options in the trade market with a month to go before the NBA’s trade deadline but their depth may have also taken a hit in Sunday night’s win over the Detroit Pistons.
Starting guard Avery Bradley is listed as questionable for Tuesday’s game against the New York Knicks after turning his ankle on Sunday, according to Tania Ganguli of the Los Angeles Times.
Bradley has started in the last seven games for the Lakers after missing a significant chunk of the season with a hairline fracture. However, the best news for the Lakers even if Bradley can’t play is that Kentavious Caldwell-Pope has played excellent basketball for most of the season. KCP is shooting 42.2% from the 3-point line through 36 games this season.
Bradley has been a strong player for the Lakers this season, usually in a starting role. He’s averaging only eight points per game but he’s started in 17 of the 22 games he’s played in. He’s only shot 23.7% from the 3-point line but he often has the job of hounding the primary ball-handler for L.A.’s opponents.
