Although Lakers guard Austin Reaves received no offers from other teams in free agency, he said the Rockets and Spurs had interest.

A few weeks ago, the Los Angeles Lakers’ top free agency priority was keeping Austin Reaves on a new contract. Although many expected them to succeed in doing so, there was some doubt.

The expectation was another team would offer Reaves, who was a restricted free agent, a contract worth up to $100 million over four years, and that the Lakers would have to strain financially to match the offer.

But as it turned out, he received no other offers, and Los Angeles kept him on a deal that many consider a steal.

Still, the undrafted guard admitted the Houston Rockets and San Antonio Spurs were interested in him.

Via Lakers Daily:

“Houston, before Fred (VanVleet), and then San Antonio,” Reaves said of other potential landing spots.

This lines up with the reports that were coming out in June about what the market for Reaves could look like.
