The NASCAR Cup Series arrived at World Wide Technology Raceway, and there couldn’t have been more drama. Christopher Bell won the first two stages and had the car to beat. Bell was tracking down Ryan Blaney and was on the verge of passing him before having an engine issue. Then, Blaney ran out of gas with one lap to go, producing a stunning winner.
[autotag]Austin Cindric[/autotag] won the 2024 Enjoy Illinois 300 at World Wide Technology Raceway. Cindric lucked into the victory after Bell and Blaney had issues in the final 20 laps. It was a shocking win that put the No. 2 team in the 2024 NASCAR playoffs despite entering the day sitting 20th in the point standings.

Cindric needed a little bit of luck to earn his first NASCAR win since the 2022 Daytona 500, but he put himself in position by running in third place. Team Penske has finally returned to victory lane, and Cindric needed that to make the 2024 NASCAR playoffs.
