Auburn’s first opponent for 2020 college football season revealed

The Tigers will take on Kentucky on Sept. 26 in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The SEC is releasing its conference schedule on Monday and, for a preview of what’s to come, the conference revealed each team’s opening week opponent prior to the big release at 7 p.m. ET.

Auburn and Gus Malzahn will host Kentucky on Sept. 26 to open the 2020 college football season in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

The Wildcats last visited The Plains in 2009 when they pulled off a 21-14 upset, Kentucky’s first victory over Auburn since 1966. Cam Newton and the future national champion Tigers got revenge in 2010 with a walk-off field goal by Wes Byrum in a 37-34 victory in Lexington.

The two teams last met in 2015 with the Tigers pulling out a 30-27 victory in Commonwealth Stadium. Auburn leads the all-time series 26-6-1.
