Auburn will need new opening opponent as SWAC postpones fall sports

Alcorn State will not be able to play at Jordan-Hare Stadium as the SWAC has postponed all fall sports.

Auburn will have to find a new season opening opponent and soon.

On Monday, the SWAC announced that it has postponed all fall sports, meaning Alcorn State, the Tigers’ opponent set for Sept. 5 in Jordan-Hare Stadium, will not be coming.

This might become a non-issue if the SEC decided to follow the Big Ten and Pac-12’s lead and play a conference-only schedule but, for now, Gus Malzahn’s team will hope to find a new opponent for the opener.
