Auburn vs. Arkansas: Who the experts are picking

Auburn is the popular pick to beat Arkansas on Saturday in Jordan-Hare Stadium.

Auburn and Arkansas take the field at Jordan-Hare Stadium for a 4 p.m. ET kickoff on Saturday. The Tigers are coming off an embarrassing 27-6 loss to Georgia in Athens last Saturday while the Razorbacks upset Mississippi State in Starkville to break a 20-game SEC losing streak.

While Sam Pittman’s team is riding a lot of momentum coming into the game, almost all of the experts in the media are picking Auburn to come away with the victory.

Here is what a slew of them had to say:

Auburn Wire

Shea Brennaman: Auburn 23, Arkansas 20

J.D. McCarthy: Auburn 30, Arkansas 17

Brian Stultz: Arkansas 24, Auburn 20

Sporting News’ Bill Bender: Auburn 35-17

“Auburn looked bad against Georgia, and Arkansas is coming off Sam Pittman’s first big upset against Mississippi State. It seems like a good spot to pick the Razorbacks, but keep in mind the Tigers have hung 50 or more here in three of the last four meetings.”

Bleacher Report’s David Kenyon: Auburn 24-13

“Golf clap for Arkansas, which snagged its first SEC victory since 2017 with a triumph over Mississippi State. But the Razorbacks’ reward is a date with an angry Auburn team, which returns home following an ugly loss to Georgia. This should be a defensive battle, and Arkansas’ lack of explosiveness on offense will decide the game.”

AP’s Ralph Drusso: Auburn 35-17

“Nothing has perked up Auburn’s offense quite like the Razorbacks in recent years; Tigers have won the last four meetings and averaged by 48.3 points.”

Phillip Marshall: Auburn 31-14

Mark Murphy: Auburn 27-13

Keith Niebuhr: Auburn 20-17

Ronnie Sanders: Auburn 38-27

Jason Caldwell: Auburn 27-20

Nathan King: Auburn 24-17
