Summertime is here, meaning many 2024 prospects will begin locking in official visits to their top schools.
For Auburn, one of their visits will be from a four-star offensive lineman high on its radar.
[autotag]Jameson Riggs[/autotag], a four-star offensive lineman from Hiram High School in metro Atlanta, has told Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports that he has locked in three official visits for June, with Auburn securing one for the weekend of June 16. Auburn is third on Riggs’ list for visits, with Clemson and Georgia Tech earning the first two.
Riggs has paid two visits to the Plains this year, once during January and another time during spring practice in March. During his recruitment, Riggs has built a relationship with Auburn commit [autotag]Walker White[/autotag]. Riggs tells Wiltfong that White is working to get him to join him at Auburn.
“It’s really cool because you get to build those relationships early and not just show up there having to meet everybody,” Riggs said of White. “You’re already getting to know guys. It makes me feel more attached to the school.”
When it comes to Auburn as a whole, Riggs says that he likes that the campus is close to his hometown and that he feels that [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] is building something special.
Riggs is the state of Georgia’s No. 35 overall prospect according to 247Sports and is the No. 22 offensive tackle for the 2024 class. The 6-4, 300-pound product first received an offer from Auburn last September and has taken three total visits since receiving the offer.
