Auburn basketball’s time in the top 10 of the Associated Press Poll was short.
The Tigers saw their 11-game win streak snapped by Alabama on Wednesday and followed that up by losing to Mississippi State on Saturday. They dropped eight spots to No. 16 after their winless week, the second-biggest fall of any team.
With their win over Auburn, the Crimson Tide were able to get back in the top 25, slotting in at No. 24. Giving the SEC four teams in the poll with No. 5 Tennessee and No. 10 Kentucky leading the charge. Ole Miss received 30 votes, the 30th most in the country but not enough to crack the top 25.
Auburn will look to snap their two-game losing streak on Wednesday when they host Vanderbilt inside Neville Arena. They will wrap the week up at Ole Miss on Saturday. The Tigers have already beaten both teams once this season.
