The transfer portal is officially open again until April 30, and [autotag]Hugh Freeze[/autotag] is working to add to his offensive line.
One day after former Tulsa offensive tackle Jaden Muskrat received an offer from Auburn, former Wyoming guard [autotag]Emmanuel Pregnon[/autotag] announced Auburn has extended an offer.
In his freshman season with the Cowboys, Pregnon played 11 games and totaled 625 snaps at right guard.
According to Pro Football Focus, he was Wyoming’s third-highest-graded lineman from the 2022 season with a 73.9 grade. His strong suit was pass protection. Last season, he allowed two sacks and four quarterback hurries. His efforts earned him freshman All-American honors.
What makes Pregnon special, outside of his stats from 2022, is he was relatively unknown before signing with Wyoming. He received zero stars from recruiting services but is now one of the hottest names in the transfer portal.
“When you look for an NFL caliber type of player, this is that,” an SEC personnel official said in a recent interview with On3’s Matt Zenitz. “I feel like he’s got all the traits. He still has to become refined and still needs to develop a little bit more technique and learn to play through his hips, but I feel like this guy has a chance to start at guard, not just for us, but at a lot of schools. And everyone’s looking at O-linemen.”
The 6-foot-6, 318-pound guard from Denver has also received offers from Oregon, Arizona, UCLA and Purdue among others.
