Auburn misses out on spot in Associated Press poll following loss to Texas A&M

A loss to Texas A&M wipes out Auburn’s chance at an AP Top-25 spot.

As expected, a poor showing by Auburn in last Saturday’s 27-10 loss has caused the Tigers to miss out on top-25 spot within the latest Associated Press poll.

The win for Texas A&M was deemed impressive by several voters, as the Aggies received five votes.

Three new teams enter this week’s poll, including Missouri. The Tigers, who are 4-0 following a 34-27 win over Memphis on Saturday, check in this week at No. 23. Fresno State’s 29-0 win over Arizona State places them at No. 25, while Kansas earns the No. 24 spot after defeating BYU.

The SEC is represented this week by seven teams: Georgia, Alabama, LSU, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Florida, and Missouri. Georgia remains the No. 1 team in the nation, with Michigan and Texas following the Bulldogs.
