Auburn has to land multiple edge players in the 2023 recruiting cycle and they are in a good place for one of the best in the country.
[autotag]Rico Walker[/autotag], a four-star prospect from North Carolina, announced his top 11 schools on Sunday and the Tigers made the list. They will be battling Georgia, Cinncinatti, Michigan State, Louisville, Tennessee, North Carolina, Florida, Miami, Clemson, and Maryland for the Hickory, North Carolina product.
Walker is ranked as the No. 160 overall player and No. 13 edge defender in the 247Sports composite ranking. The 6-foot-2, 233-pound defender is ranked as the No. 2 player in North Carolina.
Auburn extended an offer to him back on March 31 but will have to make up some ground on North Carolina to land him. The Tar Heels are the recipient of the lone Crystal Ball to land him. One thing going for Auburn is that his father, Ricardo Walker, played defensive tackle at Auburn.
