After four-star wideout Karmello English de-committed from Auburn on Thursday, the Tigers and [autotag]Bryan Harsin[/autotag] have found his replacement.
Four-star wide receiver [autotag]Adam Hopkins[/autotag], the No. 1 wideout in Georgia, committed to the Auburn Tigers on Thursday. Hopkins becomes the Tigers’ highest-rated recruit of the 2023 class and serves as a bit of a softener after English de-committed just a day earlier.
Hopkins was at Jordan-Hare for Auburn’s victory over San Jose State, and his commitment boosts Auburn’s recruiting ranking from No. 69 in the nation to No. 61 in the nation. With English de-committing, Hopkins now joins Daquyvious Sorey as the two wideout commits for Auburn’s class of 2023.
Hopkins has a lot of versatility as a receiver and his larger stature allows him to play just about anywhere in the receiving corps. Hopkins found success at his high school playing defensive back, too, but it’s very unlikely that Auburn uses him in that capacity once he joins the team.
